What to Expect in Undergraduate Science or Engineering?

The Post-Secondary Seminar: First Year and Beyond is available to students in Grades 9 to 12 with the aim to provide high school students with an idea of what to expect at the next stage of their education – college or university. It will give students an idea of opportunities that are available to support them, programs and activities they can explore, and changes to how they will study and manage their time.

If you are a high school student wondering how to approach choosing a university, how to plan your academic courses after high school, how to pursue research opportunities as an undergraduate, and when will you need to choose your degree program, then this seminar is for you.

Past Feedback and Testimonials

I thought it was very useful to hear firsthand feedback from students from various years.

I believe it helped me a lot with a better understanding of university life and academic areas.

The personal examples were very helpful; especially helpful tips on extracurriculars, transitioning, and choosing fields.

It was fun to see a university students’ life from their perspective.

Great session and highly informative. Thanks!
