The Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair Society is a federally registered not-for profit charitable organization (BN: 832888564RR0001) that depends upon donations from individuals and corporations to finance our activities which:

  • Support, organize and operate the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair (GVRSF) in Vancouver, British Columbia; and
  • Support students and the Science Fair goals of encouraging science involvement and attitudes, effort and rigor on an independent or shared project and development of communications skills.

The Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair is an annual event that showcases students’ project work from the various Science Fairs held in schools in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland geographical area. More than 350 students participate each year and approximately 2,500 school students, teachers and members of the public visit to discuss the projects with the students.

Each year, 100% of the money raised by the GVRSF Society is used to facilitate the fair, student activities, awards, and the funding for Team GVRSF to attend the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF). We are fortunate to have outstanding groups that contribute to the Fair each year. We invite you to attend our Fair to see how these contributions help support science and youth in our community.

We Need Your Help!

In recent years, with the BC public school system’s scaling back of support for after-school and supplementary programs, support of many enrichment programs including Science Fairs have declined. Your support counteracts this decline as you would be contributing to the nurture of keen students in grades 7-12 by providing them with enriching opportunities to meet and learn from peers, mentors, professors, professionals and industry leaders through Science Fairs.
Do you share our mission of encouraging youth to conduct research and experimentation in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics? Are you looking to make a meaningful investment in the future of BC’s youth? If so, please consider making a donation at our Canada Helps page, or contact us to explore partnership opportunities.

An investment in our young people ensures that we have the skilled workforce needed to compete in the global arena. It is an investment in the future of our province.
