The 2022 Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair is planned to be a hybrid fair allowing both in-person and virtual project presentations. All students attending the in-person fair must be in compliance with the Covid-19 guidelines of the AMS Nest:

Timeline

Student Registration –February 11, 2022 to March 11, 2022. Registration will require students to create a project display using Project Board. Preliminary judging will be based on the Project Board display.

Thursday, April 7, 2022 – Judging for Intermediate and Senior Projects (UBC Nest)
4:30 pm Student set up and sign in
4:30pm – 5:30pm – Project set up and dinner (students make their own arrangements
5:30pm – 6:00pm – Welcome for intermediate and senior students
6:00pm -9:00pm – Judging for Intermediate and Senior Projects

Friday, April 8, 2022 – UBC Tours and Judging for Junior Projects (UBC Nest)
8:00am – Students arrive
9:00am -10:00am – UBC Lab Tours
10:00am -11:00am – Junior Project set-up
10:00am -11:00am – Post Secondary Q&A for Intermediate and Senior Students
11:30am -12:30pm Science Show
12:30 pm – Intermediate and Senior Students take down projects and are dismissed
12:30pm – 1:30pm – Junior Student Lunch (Student make their own arrangements)
1:30pm-2:00pm – Welcome for junior students
2:00pm -5:00pm – Junior Project Judging
5:00 pm – 5:30pm – Junior Project Clean Up
5:30pm: Junior Students dismissed

Virtual Fair Judging – before April 7

Special Award Judging. As in previous years, students will self-nominate for special awards in the registration process. Special Award judging will be based on the Project Board display and is not anticipated to involve an in-person or online interview.

Awards Announcement – April 12, 2022.
